How to store jowar for 100 years? . I got this from an ex-farmer who has been farmer for 60+ generations. . 1. Prepare ash by burning cow dunk or wood or coal. Ash has to be burnt in iron vessel, so that it is very very dry. The make powder out of ash, . 2. Dyr jowar in sub. . 3 Mix jowar and ash in equal proprtion. . 4. Put this jowar in earthen pot and seal it. And store it underground on a place with height, so that water doesnt get clogged there. . 5. When you wish to eat this jowar, break the seal of pot, Using sieve, remove all ash. . 6. This jowar is good to go, even after 100 years. . Thats what he and his father had actually done. I cant verify from any other sources. . Jowar has less water and no glutton. Also, it has very less sugar . Andash makes it drier. So no sugar, less water, no air, no sunlight --- and so jowar can stay. Wheat and rice cant stay that long. Neither can bajra . GoI should stop subsidizing wheat and rice, and instead it should focus on jowar. by Rahul Ch...
